Eric Brakken has been an organizer for nearly three decades and is currently a principal with EJB Strategies, where he works with labor and community organizations in Florida and across the country to build community wealth and expand democracy. He spent two decades with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), helping bring Justice for Janitors to the South before leading SEIU’s Florida political and community organizing program. He helped build a strategic alignment of several statewide organizations called Florida for All and worked with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition to expand voting rights to 1.4 million people with former convictions.
