Sunwealth is a pioneering clean energy investment firm working to unleash the power of commercial solar by delivering meaningful returns and tangible impact. In 2017, the company received loans from the BII Pilot Fund to help finance clean energy on houses of worship and to aggregate solar energy on low-income housing and anchor nonprofits in economically distressed neighborhoods. In 2019, BII Fund made an equity investment into Sunwealth to support the company’s growth. In 2023, BII Fund II invested in Sunwealth’s Solar Justice Fund, which emphasizes investment in women and BIPOC-owned or led solar companies and projects that uplift low-income communities.
