Cassandra “Cass” Osei (They/Them) is a modern day Africana Womanist. They have over seven years of interdisciplinary research and professional experience in population health, maternal health, and public policy and administration. They are also an independent Chicago-based photographer of over 4 years. Their broad professional, academic, and visual storytelling experience supports a passion for investing in the health, sovereignty, and economic wellness of womxn across the African diaspora in the birth equity, reproductive, and policy landscape. They are also a PhD candidate in the field of Public Administration. Their research assesses the relationship between policy development, collaboration, and maternal health.
