BII Emerging Fund Manager Program 2023 Spring Cohort announcement

We are excited to launch our third cohort of Emerging Fund Managers! Since 2020, BII has trained over 40 fund managers nationwide to design and launch integrated capital funds dedicated to closing the racial wealth divide. Emerging fund managers of color play a vital role in deploying capital to the people, places and social enterprises that are building an inclusive and equitable economy.

BII’s Emerging Fund Manager Program provides education and training to emerging fund managers on BII’s integrated capital investment model. Over the course of four months, the cohort will participate in nine group sessions based on BII’s Fund Design curriculum, and receive one-on-one coaching from BII team members. The program also fosters mutual learning, as cohort members share their own resources and experiences, creating a vibrant community of practice that also includes previous cohorts.

The four-month program is available to first-time fund management teams of color who are actively planning community-based impact investment funds focused on racial equity and economic justice. More details are below.

Past sessions have been open by invitation only; this is the first time we are accepting applications. You can apply here. To honor people who have already indicated interest and are ready to get started, our application process will be quick! We ask for all applications to be submitted by April 16 so that the program can kick off on May 2. BII will be hosting an information session on the Spring 2023 Emerging Fund Manager Program on April 12 at 3pm EDT – register here!
