BII is partnering with Amplify Latinx and Inicio Ventures to launch the inaugural Latinx/e Startup Hub Tour 2024 Pitch Competition in New England.
Latinx/e-owned businesses located in Massachusetts and New England are invited to apply for the opportunity to pitch their business in front of a panel of experts at the ALX Business Summit on May 21, 2024 at WBUR CitySpace, Boston, MA.
This unique pitch competition will feature five innovative Latinx/e enterprises representing the diversity of businesses in our community. We will select one (1) microbusiness, two (2) small businesses, and two (2) growth businesses that will compete on stage for a share of $35K from Inicio Ventures to help them advance their ventures without sacrificing equity.
Each business owner selected for the Pitch Competition is guaranteed award money, and will be competing with their fellow entrepreneurs for one of five levels of funding:
1st – $15,000
2nd -$10,000
3rd – $5,000
4th – $2,500
5th – $2,500
A subcommittee of industry leaders from throughout New England will select the five ventures that will pitch at the ALX Business Summit on May 21, 2024. Businesses that are accepted to the event will be provided with business support and pitch coaching leading up to the Pitch Competition.
