Originally from Los Angeles, Mike Leyba is an activist, communicator and futurist living in Boston. Mike became an activist during the Campaign Against Prop 8 in California, a ballot initiative that would have banned same-sex marriage. He has managed multiple political campaigns for State Representative. Mike is currently Communications Director for United for a Fair Economy, a national nonprofit highlighting racial and gender inequality in the United States.
He’s the author of several publications, including State of the Dream 2017: Mourning in America, State of the Dream 2016: #BlackLivesMatter and the Economy and State of the Dream 2015: Underbanked and Overcharged, among others.
Mike is the BII Fund Board representative from City Life / Vida Urbana.
