Our Business Coaching Programs

We believe financial capital alone isn’t enough to build a thriving business. That’s where business coaching and technical assistance (TA) comes in. TA is the behind-the-scenes support that helps small businesses and cooperatives grow stronger, smarter, and more sustainable. Both of our programs below are offered free of charge to Massachusetts-based businesses.

Accelerate Your Impact

for businesses ready to scale, create good jobs, and lead with purpose

Accelerate Your Impact is our Massachusetts Small Business Coaching Program that offers free one-on-one business coaching services in English and Spanish. You receive:

  • Capital readiness: Understanding what kind of funding fits your goals
  • Financial projections: Building the roadmap to a stable future
  • Resource navigation: Finding tools, experts, and programs that support your goals
  • Access to contracts: Growing your revenue through new partnerships

This program is offered at no cost to businesses, thanks to funding from MassDevelopment and JP Morgan Chase. It’s available year round, but spots are limited.  

GreenEdge Accelerator Program

for businesses in the clean energy sector, particularly HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and construction

The GreenEdge Accelerator equips entrepreneurs with the skills, connections, and funding readiness to scale their small business in Massachusetts' thriving clean energy sector. In this program, businesses receive:

  • 1-on-1 Business Coaching: Get expert guidance tailored to your business.
  • MWBE Certifications Support: Navigate the certification process with ease.
  • Business Development: We guide you in identifying funding opportunities and business contracts in the sector.
  • Stipend: $2,000 when you complete the program.
  • Value: $75,000 worth of business support.

This program is offered at no cost to businesses, thanks to funding from MassCEC.

Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) is the largest nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing over 3,400 employers in Massachusetts. AIM promotes the well-being of its members and the state's economy by advocating for fair, pro-growth policies and providing resources to support business success.

Amplify Latinx (We Are ALX)

We Are ALX is a non-partisan nonprofit dedicated to advancing Latino American prosperity and leadership representation in Massachusetts. They support Latino-owned businesses, champion equitable policies, and celebrate Latino excellence to build generational wealth and community power.

Ascendus

Ascendus empowers low- to moderate-income small business owners, especially women, immigrants, and people of color, by providing access to capital and financial education. Their mission is to create financial ascension for all, helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses that support their families and communities.

Babson College – WIN Lab Global

The Babson WIN Lab is a 10-week accelerator that supports women entrepreneurs and allies in scaling their startups through expert coaching, peer community, and a rigorous business curriculum. It offers accountability, mentorship, and access to a powerful network to fuel business growth.

BECMA

BECMA advances the economic well-being of Black businesses and residents in Massachusetts through advocacy, business development, and strategic partnerships. They focus on closing the racial wealth gap by supporting entrepreneurship, ownership, commerce, and workforce placement.

Berkshire Innovation Center

Facilitates innovation and growth for life sciences and advanced manufacturing companies in the Berkshire region through access to technology and expertise.

Black & Brown Wall Street

Focuses on economic empowerment and wealth-building strategies for Black and Brown communities, providing resources and support for entrepreneurs.

Boston Center for Cooperative Ownership

The Boston Center for Community Ownership is a worker-led nonprofit that supports cooperative development through organizing, training, and technical assistance. They focus on empowering communities of color and working-class workers to build and sustain worker-owned cooperatives.

Boston Local Development Corporation (BLDC)

The Boston Local Development Corporation (BLDC) is a nonprofit that provides small business loans in Boston to support job creation and business growth. They offer loans up to $250,000 for working capital, property, equipment, and expansion.

Boston UJIMA Project

The Boston Ujima Project is a democratic, member-led organization building a cooperative business, arts, and investment ecosystem to return wealth to working-class communities of color. They mobilize community capital to invest in local BIPOC-owned businesses and foster economic and cultural power through collective ownership and decision-making.

Browning the Green Space

Browning the Green Space is a Massachusetts nonprofit advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in clean energy by centering Black and Brown communities. They create jobs, build wealth, and reduce energy burdens through programs supporting BIPOC and women-led climate tech startups and contractors.

Business Pittsfield

Supports business growth and development in Pittsfield, providing resources and information to local enterprises.

Center for Women and Enterprise

mpowers women to become economically self-sufficient and prosperous through entrepreneurship, business training, and community support.

Centro Cooperativo de Desarrollo Social

The Center for Cooperative Development and Solidarity (CCDS) is a nonprofit that supports immigrant communities in East Boston by helping them create and sustain worker-owned cooperatives. They provide education, technical assistance, and organize to promote economic justice and community resilience.

Coalition for Worker Ownership & Power (COWOP)

Common Capital Inc.

A community loan fund that provides financing and business advisory services to support the development and growth of small businesses in Western Massachusetts.

Commonwealth Kitchen

CommonWealth Kitchen is a Boston-based nonprofit food business incubator dedicated to supporting low-income women, immigrants, and people of color in launching and growing successful food ventures. They provide affordable commercial kitchen space, business coaching, and access to a robust network to foster economic equity and build a sustainable regional food economy.

Community Development Corporation of South Berkshire (CDCSB)

A nonprofit organization dedicated to creating affordable housing and economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income individuals in southern Berkshire County.

Cooperative Development Institute

Supports, advises, and provides technical assistance to cooperatives and mutually-owned businesses in the Northeast.

Cooperative Fund of the Northeast

The Cooperative Fund of the Northeast (CFNE) is a nonprofit that promotes economic, social, and racial justice by providing flexible loans and support to cooperatives and community-based nonprofits, especially in low-income communities. They advance democratic ownership and economic equity across New England and New York.

Dorchester Bay EDC

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is the national public health agency of the United States, dedicated to protecting Americans from health, safety, and security threats. It conducts critical science, monitors disease trends, responds to health emergencies, and provides guidance to improve health and prevent disease nationwide.

E for All / E Para Todos

The EforAll Business Accelerator is a free, 12-week online program that offers immersive business training, mentorship, and peer support to help aspiring entrepreneurs launch or grow their businesses. It provides practical lessons on business fundamentals, finance, marketing, and networking, available in both English and Spanish.

EforAll Berkshire County

Offers intensive small business training, mentorship, and an extended professional support network to help entrepreneurs start and grow businesses in Berkshire County.

EforAll Pioneer Valley

Provides business accelerators, pitch contests, and virtual workshops to support entrepreneurs in the Pioneer Valley region.

Employers Association of the Northeast

Offers human resources solutions, training, and compliance support to businesses in the Northeast to enhance organizational performance.

Entrepreneur Forum

The Entrepreneurs' Forum is a nonprofit network that supports North East entrepreneurs by providing a community, mentorship, and resources to help business owners thrive through every stage of their journey. Their membership is designed for business leaders seeking connection, guidance, and collaboration to overcome challenges and grow their companies.

Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston serves as the central bank for the First Federal Reserve District, which covers most of New England. It promotes economic growth and financial stability for both the region and the nation, providing research, regulatory oversight, and payment services to the banking system.

Forge

Connects startups with manufacturers to help them navigate the journey from physical prototype to commercialization, accelerating product development and scaling.

Franklin County Community Development Corporation

Supports economic development in Franklin County by providing business assistance, financing, and industrial space to entrepreneurs and companies.

Greater New England Minority Supplier Diversity Council

The Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) expands business opportunities for certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) by connecting them with corporate members. Their goal is to increase economic value in supply chains while promoting growth and success for minority-owned businesses across New England.

Green pro-bono

Green Pro Bono is a nonprofit that connects environmental nonprofits and social entrepreneurs with pro bono legal services to help overcome legal barriers in the fight against climate change.

Harvard Innovation Labs

Harvard Innovation Labs is a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports Harvard students and alumni in developing innovative ventures across diverse industries. It provides access to mentorship, funding, workshops, co-working spaces, and a collaborative community to help founders turn ideas into impactful businesses.

Hilltown Community Development Corporation

Enhances the quality of life in the Hilltowns by addressing housing, economic, and community development needs.

Hispanic American Institute

The Hispanic-American Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing social, educational, and economic development for low and moderate income communities across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Latin America. Through partnerships and programs, it addresses key issues such as nutrition, wellness, education, and economic opportunity for underserved populations.

ICA

The ICA Group is a nonprofit that advances worker ownership by helping businesses transition to employee ownership and building democratic, community-centered workplaces. They provide consulting, financing, and support to create quality jobs and empower workers, especially in low-income communities.

Impact Hub Boston

Impact Hub Boston is a community space that connects and empowers social entrepreneurs to collaborate, innovate, and create positive change. It provides resources, events, and a supportive network to help members turn ideas into sustainable impact.

Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC)

A national nonprofit research and advisory organization focused on driving inclusive economic prosperity in under-resourced communities through urban economic development.

Interise

Interise is a national nonprofit focused on creating an inclusive economy by growing small businesses in low-income and minority communities. They provide transformational education, research, and partnerships to support business growth and economic equity.

JPNDC- Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation

JPNDC builds prosperity in Boston by developing affordable housing, supporting economic opportunity programs, and empowering community leadership. Latin American Business Organization (LABO)

Supports Latin American businesses in the U.S., providing resources, networking, and advocacy to promote economic growth within the community.

Latino Economic Development Corporation

Empowers Latinos and other underserved communities by providing the economic and educational tools necessary for self-sufficiency and prosperity.

Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights

The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is a nonprofit formed in 1963 to mobilize lawyers in the fight for racial justice and equal opportunity. They use legal advocacy, litigation, and policy work to protect civil rights, focusing especially on issues affecting African Americans and other marginalized groups.

LEAF – Local Enterprise Assistance Fund

LISC Massachusetts

Boston Main Streets Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing and sustaining 20 neighborhood commercial districts across Boston. Mass Center for Employee Ownership

The Massachusetts Center for Employee Ownership (MassCEO) promotes and supports employee ownership to enhance business productivity, employee wealth, and economic resilience in the state. Mass Challenge

Orange Innovation Center

OSD – Operational Services Division, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office
