Marcia bridges communities, resources, and capital together for social/environmental impact. Marcia has held roles in the impact investing and venture capital worlds for the past 12 years. From Pay for Success at Third Sector to peer-selected investment at Village Capital to founder-first mentorship networks at Cinematica Labs for the biggest in culture like Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition. During the global pandemic, she co-founded VCFamilia, a community of 500+ Latine venture investors, now a part of LaFamilia Foundation, a 501c3 organization.
Currently, Marcia is an Apprentice on Impact Charitable’s Capital Activation team focused on direct investments. She is a 2nd Wave Rematriating Economies Apprentice, and a coach with the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator supporting teams of scientists building solutions in Food & Nutrition Security.
Marcia loves walking outside everyday, traveling, and long conversations with friends and family. Marcia is a child of the coasts — born in the coastal city of delicious stews, Guayaquil, Ecuador and raised in a suburb of the Greater Boston area.
