The Neighborhood Developers (TND) is a Community Development Corporation with over 40 years of experience preserving affordable housing in Chelsea, Revere, and Everett, Massachusetts. TND acquired a 30-unit property at Park and Pearl Streets, addressing displacement pressures where rent increases of 25% or more force families from their homes, with plans to permanently preserve units as deed-restricted affordable housing. In 2025, BII invested alongside TND’s OppCo Housing Accelerator Fund—a revolving loan fund managed by Opportunity Communities (OppCo), a nonprofit operating platform that strengthens the capacity of independent local community developers.
