Recap: BII Summer Community Gathering

On June 27, 2024, we hosted our Summer Community Gathering at Eastie Farms, and it was a resounding success. We were thrilled to connect with our vibrant community of donors, investors, partners, portfolio companies, and sponsors, raising an impressive $29,000 with your support.

This unique event occurred in the Greenhouse at Eastie Farms, a project proudly funded through BII’s Fund I. The gathering provided an opportunity for meaningful interactions and valuable insights into our climate and circular economy investments. Attendees learned about the transformative work of BII portfolio companies such as Chop Value, Valley Home Insulation, Sunwealth, Eastie Farms, Eco Auto, and Maven Construction / SRGE. Guest enjoyed delicious food from Bono and refreshing Roundhead Brewery beer in the beautiful setting of Eastie Farm’s urban gardens.

A highlight of the evening was honoring our founder, Deborah Frieze, with a standing ovation. BII exists because of Deborah’s vision, tenacity, and mentorship, so we thank her deeply and dearly.

To continue our impactful investment and technical assistance activities, we rely on operating dollars to support our efforts. Your support enables us to invest in transformative projects and provide essential technical assistance to our portfolio companies. Thank you for being a critical part of our journey!
