It is with great pleasure that we welcome Evren Ozargun to our esteemed Investment Committee. With a career spanning nearly 25 years in finance and risk management, Evren brings a wealth of expertise and insight to our team.

Born and raised in in Instabul, Turkey, Evren moved to Boston with his family in 1995 and attended Babson College where he received his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Entrepreneurial Studies.

As the Senior Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Risk Management at Gordon Brothers, Evren plays a pivotal role in overseeing the firm’s global portfolio of asset-based loans, sale leasebacks, and equity investments. His ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and effectively manage risk underscores his leadership in the field.

Evren’s experience encompasses various facets of middle-market, asset-based, and cash flow lending, covering an array of industries and asset classes. From facilitating mergers and acquisitions to spearheading growth capital initiatives, his strategic acumen has been instrumental in driving success across diverse business landscapes.

“While I have achieved a certain level of success in my career, I have always admired entrepreneurs and others who are using their time and skills to make a difference in our world and to better some of the social, economic, environmental or other inequalities we have in our society. At this stage of my life, I want to dedicate more of my time to these entrepreneurs and businesses and hope my skills could benefit others too. This is one of the reasons I am interested in being a part of BII.”

We are thrilled to have Evren Ozargun join our team, and we eagerly anticipate the invaluable contributions he will make in shaping our investment strategies and supporting our portfolio.
