Boston Impact Initiative (BII) is committed to providing accessible and inclusive communication to the communities we serve. We recognize that language is a key barrier to equitable access and participation, and we are taking active steps to make our content, services, and materials more linguistically inclusive.
1. Our Commitment
We serve a diverse network of entrepreneurs, partners, and stakeholders whose primary language may not be English. While our website and core program materials are currently published in English, we are working toward expanded language access in alignment with our mission of economic and racial justice.
We are committed to:
- Making select pages and forms available in Spanish
- Prioritizing human translation of critical content
- Supporting language access accommodations upon request
- Centering cultural relevance in how we communicate
2. Scope of Translation
Our efforts focus on translating materials that are most essential to public access and program participation, including:
- Core website pages (such as Get Capital, How to Apply, Invest in Us)
- Application forms and intake processes
- Selected marketing materials and educational resources
- Program announcements and event invitations
Translations will be available in Spanish, with additional languages considered based on need and capacity.
3. Translation Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy and clarity in all translated materials, some documents may contain inadvertent discrepancies between the English and translated versions. In the event of a conflict between the translated version and the English version, the English version shall govern.
Translations are provided for convenience and accessibility only. BII does not make any representations or warranties regarding the completeness or reliability of translated materials.
4. Machine Translations
We may offer automated translation tools, such as Google Translate or DeepL, to assist users in navigating certain content. These tools are not controlled by BII and may not always produce accurate or culturally appropriate translations.
Automated translations should be used with caution. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any information translated using third-party services.
5. Need Language Assistance?
If you need support in a language other than English, or if you would like to request specific materials in Spanish or another language, we encourage you to contact our team. We will do our best to accommodate your request or connect you to the appropriate resource.

6. Ongoing Commitment
Language justice is a continuous practice. We welcome feedback on how we can improve access for Spanish-speaking and multilingual communities. If you notice an error in translation or have suggestions for additional language support, please reach out.
We are grateful to be in partnership with the communities we serve and will continue working to ensure language is not a barrier to participation, investment, or opportunity.
