Language Access and Translation Disclaimer

Effective Date: October 27, 2025 | Last Revised: June 8, 2026

Boston Impact Initiative Fund and Boston Impact Initiative Fund II LLC (collectively “BII,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) are committed to providing meaningful and equitable access to our programs, services, and information for everyone we serve, including people whose primary language is not English. Language should never be a barrier to economic opportunity, and we take that seriously as both a legal obligation and a core expression of our values.

1. Legal Basis

As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) receiving federal financial assistance from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, BII is subject to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of national origin. Under Executive Order 13166, recipients of federal funds are required to take reasonable steps to provide meaningful access to people with limited English proficiency (LEP).

This Language Access Statement reflects BII’s commitment to fulfilling those obligations and to going further, because language justice is central to who we are and the communities we serve.

2. Our Commitment

We serve a diverse network of entrepreneurs, investors, partners, and community members whose primary language may not be English. While our website and core program materials are currently published in English, we are actively working toward expanded language access, with priority given to Spanish.

BII is committed to:

  • Making select pages, forms, and program materials available in Spanish
  • Prioritizing human translation of critical program content
  • Providing language assistance accommodations upon request at no cost
  • Ensuring culturally relevant and community-centered communication
  • Reviewing and updating our language access practices on an ongoing basis

3. Scope of Translation

Our translation efforts prioritize content most essential to program participation and public access, including:

  • Core website pages, such as Get Capital, How to Apply, and Invest in Us
  • Loan amd program application forms and intake materials
  • Key program announcements and event invitations
  • Selected educational resources and marketing materials

Translations are currently available or in development in Spanish. Additional languages will be considered based on community need and organizational capacity. In the event of any discrepancy between a translated version and the English version of a document, the English version shall govern.

4. Automated Translation Tools

We may offer automated translation tools, such as Google Translate, to help users navigate certain content. These tools are not controlled by BII and may not always produce accurate or culturally appropriate translations. Automated translations should be used as a general guide only. BII does not guarantee the accuracy of machine-translated content and encourages users to contact us directly if they have questions or need clarification.

5. Requesting Language Assistance

If you need support in a language other than English — whether to access our website, apply for a loan, participate in an event, or engage with any BII program — please reach out to us. We will do our best to accommodate your request or connect you to the right resource. Language assistance is available at no cost.

We are grateful to be in partnership with the communities we serve and will continue working to ensure language is never a barrier to participation, investment, or opportunity.
