Meet the 6th ARC Fellowship Cohort: 8 Funds Advancing Regenerative Capital

BII is excited to welcome the 6th cohort of the ARC Fellowship—a new group of 8 exceptional funds and their teams joining a growing community of practice committed to moving capital differently.

Now in its 6th cohort, the ARC Fellowship (Advancing Regenerative Capital) continues our commitment to supporting both emerging and established fund managers as they design and launch investment funds that prioritize community ownership, economic justice, and climate sustainability.

The ARC Fellowship is a hands-on, peer-driven learning experience that combines expert-led education, peer support, access to catalytic capital, and a lifelong community of practice. Each cohort brings together fund managers at different stages of their journeys—from those developing their first fund to experienced managers expanding their focus on impact.

Together, Fellows are building the knowledge, relationships, and resources they need to bring new models of investing to life—and to help shape a more equitable financial future.

Norm Fund — Chicago, IL — Matthew Braun and Kyle Harvey
Small-balance, software-underwritten loans to aging condo and co-op associations facing major repair costs that traditional banks won’t finance, protecting naturally occurring affordable homeownership.

Raise with Surf — Toronto, Ontario — Kizito Okorowu and Abisayo Olawuyi
A venture fund backing African health-tech founders through an accessible deal-by-deal investment model, with a $2,000 minimum that opens the door to healthcare professionals and diaspora investors as well.

Village Real Estate Investment Cooperative — New Orleans, LA — Divine Henderson-Chandler, Jenga Mwendo and Kristyna Jones
Building generational wealth for African diasporic communities through collective, democratically governed real estate investment.

We’re also welcoming three participants from two alumni funds, who are learning and working alongside the new cohort, and contributing to ARC programming:

Moonsoon Fund — Denver, CO — Amber Begay
Common Future Community Credit Lab — San Francisco, CA — Misty Cordeiro-Cary and Roselle Croitoru

Looking Ahead

Sessions for this cohort begin this month, with programming continuing through early 2027. Over the coming months, Fellows will participate in biweekly learning sessions, peer working groups, and individualized coaching designed to strengthen their fund development strategies and accelerate the launch of their funds.

As we celebrate the 6th cohort of the ARC Fellowship, we’re also looking ahead with a sense of both hope and urgency. The demand for impact-first capital is growing—and so is the need for fund managers who are deeply rooted in their communities and committed to moving capital differently. If you share this vision, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of the ARC Fellowship and building a more equitable investment ecosystem.

Interested in future ARC Fellowship cohorts? Applications for the next cohort will open in summer 2027. We welcome applications from fund managers at every stage who are committed to advancing community ownership, economic justice, and climate sustainability through their investment strategies.
