Marquita is a respected figure in Oregon’s entrepreneurial and startup scene, with extensive experience in working with local companies. She was formerly the Community & Program Manager at PIE, an established technology accelerator in Portland, where she played a key role in setting up accelerator programs providing startups with mentorship, access to community resources, and capacity building. Currently, Marquita is a Principal on the Portfolio Management Team at the BFM Fund leading the Emerge Initiative to provide concept stage companies with the necessary tools to build sustainable businesses, whether their pathway is VC or not.
