BII guided a statewide Black advocacy and support organization through a four-month process of designing its own equity capital program in order to provide equitable capital to business members. We provided tools, templates, analytical support and training on key topics such as developing an investment thesis and model, impact management, raising investment capital and engaging back office support.
The impact of BII’s contribution was to significantly accelerate and strengthen the design and development process for launching the program.
