CPA MA is a cooperative of 50+ community institutions pooling buying power to negotiate better rates and terms on services essential to nonprofits with facilities to manage. It is most active in Greater Boston, but has successfully brought its programs as far west as Springfield and Cape Cod. CPA MA is part of broader community efforts for racial equity and for supporting the growth of cooperatives, as part of several local coalitions. Its main programs include electricity, natural gas, snow removal, commercial insurance, waste management and janitorial services. Beyond its programming, CPA MA aims to share resources and create spaces for community conversations within its network of nonprofits. BII Fund II invested in CPA MA in 2023.
