BII’s Deborah Frieze Co-Authors Article on Using Nature as our Guide
In their article, Forging a post-COVID recovery with Nature as our Guide, Deborah Frieze and Sallie Calhoun ask how nature would recover from a disruption like COVID-19, building from a conversation they had with António Simões of HSBC at The Performance Theatre in Seattle last year. “In nature,” they write, “resources often flow to where they’re needed most. Imagine a world in which big banks, global corporations and the one percent functioned like oak trees, serving as an integral part of the community, redistributing financial capital to support productive capacity throughout the entire system.”
