Join us Tuesday, April 25, at 1 pm EDT for a timely discussion, “Building Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Laying the Groundwork to Support Small Businesses and Their Investors,” featuring BII CEO Betty Francisco.
The event is part of the 42nd U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Small Business Forum, which brings together SEC Commissioners and a diverse lineup of speakers with fresh perspectives on capital raising. The Forum is a unique event where members of the public and private sectors gather to provide feedback to improve capital raising policy for startups to smaller public companies and their investors. It is hosted by the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation pursuant to the Small Business Investment Incentive Act of 1980.
Along with Betty Francisco, the panel on building entrepreneurial ecosystems will include Ian Hathaway, co-founder and general partner of Far Out Ventures, in Santa Barbara, Calif., and Brian Hollins, founder and managing partner of Collide Capital, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Participants will have an opportunity to contribute to the discussion and make policy recommendations.
